#10 - Jog in the Early Morning on a Beach


I've always wanted to be one of those cool, fit chicks you see jogging on the beach. At sunrise. Living the dream life.  

I've always been too fat and out of shape to do that. I couldn't run fifty feet. And in sand? Who are you kidding?

But I've been running for five months now. My strength and endurance have multiplied immensely. And this weekend, my sister and I went on a quick holiday trip to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where we stayed in an oceanfront resort with a walkway to the beach. 

So Sunday morning, I got up at sunrise and did this:


  


And it was incredible. 

One of my 2013 goals is to do 5 things on my bucket list. Here's 1/5.

You are so inspiring! I just started a 5k training program, which terrifies me because I am horrible at running (no endurance with this girl!). You are amazing though, and on a beach? I bet that was gorgeous! :)

Aw, thank you so much! It was really beautiful; can't wait to do it again when I've lost more weight and become better at running. Good luck with your 5K training program! It will be tough, but push through it. You'll be so proud of yourself!
