Natural Relief for Tired & Achy Feet

As a nurse, I know all about some sore feet. Day after day of running around on a hard, industrial floor, not always able to squeeze in even a thirty-minute lunch break, takes such a heavy toll on the feet.

After seven months at my current job, I've been feeling it. Big time. Despite swapping between two fairly new pairs of Asics every other day, my feet throb and ache almost constantly. The only thing I want to do when I come home is get barefoot and sit down. It's gotten so intense recently that I've turned to researching natural remedies.

And I found something pretty great.

You might already know that I have a thing for essential oils. I mean, I did make 100 homemade soy candles with them for my wedding.

But I never thought about rubbing them all over my feet. Until now. (Well, um, the oils. Not the candles.)

Here's the secret recipe:

5 drops rosemary essential oil
4 drops lavender essential oil
3 drops peppermint essential oil

I already had all of these in my stash, so I was excited. All you do is mix these oils into 2 teaspoons of a base oil (I just used extra virgin olive oil because that was all I had in the house, but vegetable oil and almond oil are supposed to work really well) and massage it into your tootsies.

That's it. I've done this twice right before I go to bed, and it's helped SO much. It even smells great, and all that oil makes my rough, calloused nurse feet nice and soft. Give it a try and tell me what you think!
